In the spirit of Haskell Wexler's "Medium Cool" and Robert Altman's film, "Nashville," Eric Mofford, and a cast of 12, developed characters and then improvised scenes based on the actions of the police and protesters outside the Democratic Convention in Los Angeles.

"Between the DNC, the police and the protesters, the whole event was so staged and theatrical, we decided to use this magnificent backdrop to create a character driven story about relationships and politics. The actors were so believable that many were interviewed by the press. The only time we let them know the truth was when one reporter wanted to directly quote the Kansas delegate, really an actor in the film," states Mofford.
